Since November 1998, with two million tourists visiting Mt. Kumgang in North Korea, a new chapter for reconciliation and peace has opened in inter-Korean cooperation.
Mt. Kumgang where heavenly beauty has landed on earth is now indeed a symbol of inter-Korean cooperation and peace as well as mutual trust and interaction. Hyundai Asan aims at developing Mt. Kumgang as a multipurpose tourism complex of international standards.
Meanwhile, Kaesong Industrial Complex, a successful business model of inter-Korean cooperation, is growing rapidly and making splendid progress in creating a promising future for both Koreas. This pilot industrial complex built in 2004 at Kaesong Industrial Complex showcases its great competitive advantages in workforce, location and logistics.
The Mt. Kumgang tour and Kaesong Industrial Complex business have turned confrontation and tension between the two Koreas for the past 50 years into peace, stability, mutual understanding and co-prosperity.
Now, Hyundai Asan is promoting a new business with Mt. Paekdu tourism, Kaesong tourism and the SOC (Social Overhead Capital) project in North Korea such as electricity, telecommunication, Railroads, etc.
